Yosemite – Nature at its Best
A view of Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View (Above Photo)
Many photographers consider Yosemite National Park one of the best locations in the world to photograph landscapes. I visited Yosemite for the first time this past May. I was captivated by its beauty.
Yosemite is a chance to see nature at its best. Yosemite offers beautiful mountain vistas, numerous waterfalls, rushing streams and rivers, and beautiful dogwood blossoms. In early May, the dogwoods were in full bloom.

Yosemite also has numerous trails to hike to photograph intimate landscapes and macro photographs. The trails around Happy Isles are one of my favorites. At Happy Isles, I found Dogwood blossoms, rushing rivers, mountain streams, wildflowers, and more.

The views from Sentinel Dome can also be spectacular. It is about a 1.2 mile hike to the top of Sentinel Dome. Sentinel Dome is the second highest viewpoint in Yosemite Valley with the summit at 8,122 feet. At the top, you are treated to a 360 degree view of the park. There is a 360 degree monument at the top that identifies all the peaks and monument around you.

Quotes Attesting to the Beauty of Yosemite.
“Yosemite Valley, to me, is always a sunrise, a glitter of green and golden wonder in a vast edifice of stone and space.”
– Ansel Adams
After camping in Yosemite National Park: “It was like lying in a great solemn cathedral, far vaster and more beautiful than any built by the hand of man.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
