It's fun to play with different compositions when photographing flowers.  The same composition with the flower positioned at the center or one of the upper intersections of the rule of thirds can get boring if you take enough flower photos.  Try

  • zooming in close
  • cropping off some of the flower
  • positioning the flower in the upper or lower part of the composition
  • photographing from the side or below the flower

Experimenting with different compositions can lead to flower photographs that are interesting and draw attention.
