An Aerial Tour of Oahu, Hawaii
Drones are the latest craze in photography. Everyone seems to want to get in to drone photography. But regulations are getting stricter and restrictions are becoming more prevalent. Besides, it’s difficult to travel with a drone.
On a trip to Oahu, Hawaii, I didn’t bring a drone. I took a 1 hour helicopter ride with a pilot that knows the Island and I got these amazing photographs.
It was an incredible experience. The doors were off of the helicopter and the views were beautiful. To find out more about the helicopter ride and how to photograph from a helicopter, read my blog on the subject.

I’ve done this on several vacations. I’ve taken sea planes and helicopters to capture aerial photographs of my vacation destinations. While this is not inexpensive, you can see and photograph an entire area in a short period of time. I saw and photographed most of the island of Oahu in just an hour.
