Slow WordPress Blogs & Reposting
Hello Blog Readers. I was contacted by one of my blog readers yesterday that some of my older blogs took a really long time to display. By a long time, I mean they are taking minutes to display.
I completely re-coded one of the WordPress blogs last night and it still took a REALLY long time to display. After unsuccessfully searching the Internet last night, I figured out that the only way to correct this slowness was to repost the blogs. I believe that this started happening after the last WordPress update.
Over the next few weeks, I will be reposting these slow blogs. I apologize for the slowness of some of the blogs and I apologize in advance for flooding your email box with blog notifications if you subscribe to the blog.
I’d really prefer using this time to create new content for you but I really need to correct these blog posts as they are completely unusable as is.
Thanks for reading the blog! I hope to get this corrected in the near future and begin to post new material again. I have a couple of fun projects in the works that I’ll be sharing with you.
June 24 Update
The slow blog issue appears to be isolated to a few blog posts using Safari. I’m not certain if it was my upgrade to WordPress 5.7.2 or upgrade to MacOS Big Sur. At this point, I will not continue re-writing blog posts as I’ve been getting 404 Page Not Found errors in the logs.
Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.
